Names of 8 new GoI secretaries announced; LBSNAA director Upma Chawdhry and FCI CMD figure in the list


THE government on Saturday appointed eight senior officers at the rank of secretary or secretary-equivalent positions. Whereas director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Ms Upma Chawdhry, will be the new secretary in the department of youth affairs on December 31, another officer -- 1984 batch IAS, ABP Pandey, will take over as new revenue secretary at the end of this month when incumbent Hasmukh Adhia retires. IAS officers will now be trained on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at LBSNAA

THE ministry of women and child development is collaborating with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, to train IAS officers on a variety of issues including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, gender budgeting etc. In a tweet recently, it said: “Ministry WCD to collaborate with #LBSNAA, Mussoorie, to impart training and sensitise IAS officers on issues pertaining to gender”.
