BY THE end of this month, secretary of the department of school education and literacy — Anil Swarup — will retire after serving as a civil servant for long 37 years. Today (Tuesday), just ahead of his retirement, he has taken to the Twitter to give a hurrah to the IAS as a career when he said he enjoyed "every moment" as an IAS. Unease in corridors after former coal secretary HC Gupta and 2 serving IAS get 2 years jail

19 secretary-ranked officers appointed, reshuffled; Upma Chaudhary is new LBSNAA director
THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Wednesday approved the appointment-cum-reshuffle of 19 secretary level officials of the Central government. Coal secretary Anil Swarup will now be secretary, department of school education and Smt Upma Chaudhary, 1983 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS, presently in the cadre will be the new director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
