THE government on Saturday appointed eight senior officers at the rank of secretary or secretary-equivalent positions. Whereas director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Ms Upma Chawdhry, will be the new secretary in the department of youth affairs on December 31, another officer -- 1984 batch IAS, ABP Pandey, will take over as new revenue secretary at the end of this month when incumbent Hasmukh Adhia retires.
