Anoop Khinchi, 2008 batch Nagaland cadre IAS, as the private secretary to the Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Arjun Ram Meghwal.
In another development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has declined the proposal for extension in tenure of Sanjiv Mittal, 1984 batch IDAS and additional secretary and financial adviser (acquisition), ministry of defence, for a further period of one year beyond March 7, 2018.
Also, the competent authority has approved the proposal of the ministry of development of North Eastern Region for extension of central deputation tenure in respect of Gin Khan Chin, 1986 batch IP and TAFS officer, as financial adviser, North Eastern Council secretariat, Shillong, for a period of three months beyond March 14, 2018 or until further orders.
Meanwhile, Dr Prachi Mishra, who’s now working in IMF, Washington DC, has been appointed as the economic adviser in the Fifteenth Finance Commission. The ACC on Wednesday also approved the appointment on contract basis of Dr Vijay Kumar Torgal, a private person, as the OSD to the minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship -- Anant Kumar Hegde.
