Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer appointed in woman and child development ministry and a forest officer in drinking water and sanitation. Full List

AN Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer in the ministry of woman and child development and an Indian Forest Service officer in the ministry of drinking water and sanitation? Yes, it’s so. Sudhir Prasad, 2000 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of woman and child development, Delhi. And Manoj Kumar Tripathi, 2000 batch Karnataka cadre Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer, who is now on a “compulsory wait” in the ministry of tribal affairs, has been appointed as…
director in the ministry of drinking water and sanitation.
It’s however not contrary to any rules, as Group “A” services officers and those in All India Services can be posted as directors, joint secretaries, additional secretaries etc. in any unrelated ministry.
Meanwhile, Shiv Narain, 1991 batch Indian Telecom Service officer, has been appointed as director in the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) under the ministry of home affairs.
Earlier last week, 1998 batch Indian Cost Accounts Service officer Pankaj Gupta was  appointed as director in the Fertilisers Industry Coordination Committee under the ministry of fertilisers. And Anil Kumar Adepally, 2002 batch UT cadre Indian Forest Service officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of tribal affairs.
In another development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday curtailed the tenure of 2005 batch AGMUT cadre IAS Ms Niharika Rai as private secretary to the minister of state for Statistics and Programme Implementation and Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel. The ACC then appointed Ms Rai as the private secretary to Nitin Gadkari, the minister of shipping until May 31, 2019, or for a term co-terminus with the minister.
