2 IAS, 1 IRS-IT officer prematurely repatriated; cabinet secretariat’s Meera Mohanty gets extension


TWO IAS officers of Manipur-Tripura cadre, Devesh Deval and Rakesh Ranjan, and Indian Revenue Service-Income Tax officer Ajay Kumar, have been prematurely repatriated to their parent cadres. An then there's a one-year extension for Meera Mohanty, deputy secretary in the cabinet secretariat. Here below are the details:

1. Ajay Kumar, a 1999 batch Indian Revenue Service-Income Tax (IRS-IT) officer and private secretary to the minister of state for social justice and empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre — IRS-IT— with immediate effect. 
2. Devesh Deval, 2004 batch Manipur-Tripura cadre IAS officer and deputy secretary in the department of health and family welfare, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre with immediate effect. 
3. Another IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre, Rakesh Ranjan, who is Member Secretary in National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre with effect from April 30, 2018. He is an IAS officer of 1992 batch. In fact, in a DoPT order issued on March 22, his destination was wrongly written as joint secretary in the department of higher education, only to be corrected in another order issued the very next day.
4. Meanwhile, the Central deputation tenure of Ms Meera Mohanty, 2005 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS and deputy secretary in the cabinet secretariat, has been extended for a period of one year till May 1, 2019.
