What happened to IAS Mona Sreenivas’ extension of deputation? And Parshant Goyal’s request for Punjab?

A PANEL headed by DoPT secretary Saniay Kothari has sought clarifications in writing from Haryana cadre IAS couple, A Mona Sreenivas and A Sreenivas, before taking a call on the wife’s request for extension of deputation tenure in AGMUT for two more years. Mona Sreenivas is a 2006 batch Haryana cadre IAS whereas her husband, now on deputation in Telangana is a 2004 batch Haryana IAS. The panel took up the case as Mona Sreenivas requested for extension of deputation period for a further period of two years beyond July 11, 2016 on personal grounds. But her husband A Sreenivas also…
sought premature repatriation to his parent cadre Haryana from Telangana cadre due to personal reasons. The same panel in its last meeting too took up these cases, and on May 25 meeting too, it discussed the cases. “The Committee after detailed deliberation directed to seek the clarification/reasons in writing from the officers”, said the minutes of the meeting, as uploaded in the DoPT website.
A product of English literature from LSR college and then Delhi University, Mona Sreenivas, 38,  originally hails from Chandigarh. Two years ago, she as the district magistrate of North Delhi came into news when she organized a roadshow to motivate Delhi University students to vote. A Sreenivas, an MA in public administration from Osmania university before getting into IAS, originally hails from Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the same panel also took up another case of inter-cadre deputation— the request for inter cadre deputation of Dr Prashant Kumar Goyal, 2007 batch Tripura cadre IAS from Tripura cadre to Punjab cadre for five years. As the case is covered under exiting policy, the Kothari-headed panel directed to seek comments of state government of Tripura, Punjab and vigilance status of the officer. “Thereafter, on receipt of requisite comments/no objection, the proposal along with ACC note may be put up for the approval of ACC”, the minutes of the meeting held on May 25 said. Thus in all probability, this case may get the ACC nod.
Goyal, 38, did MBBS from Punjab before getting into IAS. He is from Punjab.
