TWO days after 1992 batch UP cadre IPS officer Amitabh Thakur lodged a police complaint against ruling Samajwadi Party chief and UP chief minister’s father Mulayam Singh Yadav, the state government on Monday night suspended him on the charge of indiscipline and anti-establishment approach. Thakur on Monday also met senior officials of union home ministry to demand a CBI enquiry into a rape charge against him and also to ask for more protection for him and his family. Those who know Thakur say he does not really hide behind conduct rules while expressing his views.
