THE Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday approved the proposal of DoPT (AIS Division) for extension of tenure of inter-cadre deputation of Joram Beda, a 2008 batch Punjab cadre IAS, from Punjab cadre to AGMUT cadre (Arunachal Pradesh segment) for a further period of three months beyond January 21, 2019. Meanwhile, the ACC has also approved the appointment of Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, director, of physics group in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and director of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, as the new director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for a period of three years by granting suitable extension of service under FR 56 (d) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
