Tenure of home ministry joint secretary Vivek Bhardwaj extended


THE central deputation tenure of Vivek Bhardwaj, 1990 batch IAS officer and joint secretary in the ministry of home affairs (MHA), has been extended for a period of three months beyond October 23, 2018. Meanwhile, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has also approved the proposal for extension in central deputation tenure of NC Jhinta, DIG, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as secretary to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for a period of...
three months from the date of demise of former PM, i.e. upto November 15, 2018, “in relaxation of extend guidelines”. 
In another development, the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of secretary, department of pharmaceuticals to P Raghavendra Rao, 1985 batch Haryana cadre IAS and secretary in the department of chemicals and petrochemicals from October 19, 2018 to November 11, 2018 during the period of absence on leave of Jai Priye Prakash, 1982 batch Assam cadre lAS.
Also, in partial modification of the earlier order dated October 12, 2018, the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of secretary, ministry of food processing industries to Tarun Shridhar, 1984 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre lAS and secretary in the department of animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries, from October 19 to 21, 2018 during the period of absence on leave of Ms Pushpa Subramanyam, 1985 batch Telangana cadre lAS.
