4 union secretaries are on leave; know who are taking additional charge of those ministries


IN THIS mid-August, four union secretaries handling the ministries such as AYUSH, fertiliser, heavy industry, and skill development and entrepreneurship, are on leave. The government has given additional charge of these ministries to four other secretaries. Here are the secretaries in-charge in those ministries:
1. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, secretary in the ministry of AYUSH, has been on leave between August 11 and 20. During his absence, Ms Preeti Sudan, 1983 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS and secretary in the department of health and family welfare, has been given additional charge of the post of secretary in the ministry of AYUSH.
2. Ms Bharati S Sihag, 1983 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS and secretary of the department of fertiliser, has been on leave between August 11 and 19, 2018. The government has given additional charge of the post of secretary, fertiliser, to Jai Priye Prakash, 1982 batch Assam cadre IAS who is presently the secretary of the department of pharmaceuticals.
3. Dr Asha Ram Sihag, 1983 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS and secretary in the department of heavy industry, has been on leave between August 11 and 19, 2018. The government has given additional charge of the post of heavy industry secretary to Ms Seema Bahuguna, 1983 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS and secretary of the department of public enterprises. 
4. Dr KP Krishnan, 1983 batch Karnataka cadre IAS and secretary in the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, has been on leave between August 11 and 26, 2018.
The government has given the additional charge of the post of secretary in the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship to R Subrahmanyam, 1985 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS and secretary of the department of higher education.
