May 25. According to a circular issued by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, the duly filled prescribed forms can be sent by email at sportsdopt at gmail dot com.
The categories for music include instrumental music, classical music — both light and vocal, and folk music. In the dance categories, there will be competition of folk dance, western dance and classical dance.
The age categories for the wards of the civil servants are 5-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-16 years.
The circular further said that an employee can contact the convenor Neelu Suri, if there's any confusion.
In another development, the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board is also organising coaching camps during summer vacation for the children and dependents of the Central government employees. The coaching camp will be organised between May 15 and June 15 this year. The timing is during 6 to 9 am. The games included for coaching include basketball, cricket, football, lawn tennis, volleyball and self-defence. Coaching in most of the disciplines will take place in New Delhi’s Vinay Marg Sports Complex. A very small fee — Rs 200-500 for the children of the government officials — is also levied.
