IES officer Aparna Sinha appointed in WTO, Geneva with “relaxation”; 1997 batch IAS Manish Singh posted in London

Aparna Sinha, a 1999 batch Indian Economic Service officer, has been appointed to the post of counsellor (services) in Permanent Mission of India (PMI), World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva for a period of three years. The appointment, however, was made in “relaxation of a mandatory requirement of having worked for 2 years under the Central Staffing Scheme with the stipulation that the same should not be quoted as precedent”. appointed as counsellor (services) in Permanent Mission of India (PMI) WTO, Geneva for a period of three years. In the last couple of days, the government also appointed a number of other appointments and approved premature repatriation. Here is the list:
a) John Kingslya, 2004 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS, has been appointed as Resident Director in trade promotion office, Marine Product Export Development Authority (MPEDA), New York, for a period of three years.  
b) Sanjay Kumar Singh, 1987 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and administrator (USOF) in the department of telecommunication, has been assigned additional charge of the post of Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards (BSI) for a period of three months.
c) Manish Singh, 1997 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS, has been appointed as minister (Economic) (joint secretary level) in the High commission of India, London, under the department of commerce for a period of three months in place of Amitabh Jain, a 1989 batch Chhattisgarh cadre IAS.
d) Ms Kusum Singh, 1984 batch IRPS officer and joint secretary in department of defence production, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre — Indian Railways — with effect from September 1, 2017 on personal grounds. 
e) Kedar Nath Verma, 2006 batch Indian Statistical Service officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare. 
f) Sanjay Kumar, 2003 batch Indian Posts and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of financial services. 
g) Manoj Kumar , 2003 batch Central Engineering Service (Roads), has been appointed as a director in the department of science and technology. 
h) Jayant Kumar, 1996 batch Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME) officer, has been appointed as director in Central Vigilance Commission, Delhi.
Meanwhile, the ACC has approved empanelment of officers for promotion to Principal Commissioner of Income Tax in IRS (Income-Tax) for the panel year 2014-15 and 2015-16.
