Former civil servants to coach UPSC aspirants filling up DAF form, appear in personality test

ANUGRAH, a Delhi-based low-cost civil service interview coaching centre run by a few  former bureaucrats will now help the aspirants in filling up Detailed Application Form, DAF (CSM), for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017. The filling up of this form where a successful candidate needs to give information such as one's education, family, job experiences, sports, hobbies etc. is considered crucial at the time of personality test. “Highly experienced team of former senior bureaucrats…
to guide in filling up the DAF”, declares Anugrah adding that “filling up of DAF is crucial at the time of Personality Test; the UPSC Board comprising competent and unbiased observers has before it only the DAF of candidates”.
“Experience shows that DAF plays a significant role in the interview process. The conversation usually arises from the information given in the DAF. Therefore, it is utmost important that extreme caution is exercised while filling up the DAF”, says Anugrah in a statement.
Anugrah is run among others by former civil servants such as Sudhir Chandra (former chairman, CBDT), PJ Thomas (former union telecom secretary), SK Goel (former chairman, CBEC) and Amarendra Kumar Tewary (former member, Authority for Advance Rulings).
Expert in mass communication Dr N Bhaskara Rao and cardiac surgeon and CEO of National Heart Institute Dr OP Yadava are also a part of the Team Anugrah.
According to the UPSC, the DAF form would be available on its website from August 17, 2017 to August 31, 2017. And all the qualified candidates will have to fill up the DAF online and submit the same online for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017 to be held from October 28, 2017.
