ACC gives its nod to 3 extension of additional charges; all officers belong to non-CSS category

FIRST give additional charge and then extend their tenures. In fact, the extension of additional charge tenure has become more of a rule than an exception so far as the appointments of the officers belonging to non-Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) are concerned. Only on Wednesday, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) took up four appointment-related cases, and in three out of four, it gave its nod to the proposal of extension of additional charges. The officers whose cases were taken up on Wednesday belonged to NITI Aayog, Central Water Commission and IIM, Rohtak. Here are the details:
First, the ACC approved the proposal of the NITI Aayog for extension of additional charge of the post of Director General (DG), National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development, entrusted to Dr Yogesh Suri, adviser of NITI Aayog for a period of six months with effect from August 3, 2016.
Then, the ACC approved the proposal of extension of additional charge of post of Executive Member, Narmada Control Authority (NCA) to Narendra Kumar, Member (RM), Central Water Commission, Delhi for six months with effect from September 1, 2016.
In another order, also issued on Wednesday, the ACC approved the proposal for extension of additional charge of the post of director, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak, entrusted to Prof Atanu Rakshit for a further period of nine months with effect from May 15, 2016.
