Now, it’s turn of Karnataka CM to ask bureaucrats to pull up their socks

KARNATAKA chief minister K Siddaramaiah is the latest of several chief ministers asking bureaucrats to pull up their socks. Siddaramaiah, who recently led the Congress to dislodge the BJP government in the state, has reminded the bureaucrats of the general perception that the administration in the state has collapsed…
Earlier, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav asked civil servants of their respective states to introspect and perform better.
“I want officials to make a drastic change in the administration in the next six months,” Siddaramaiah said. What’s if they don’t care much of what he is saying? “…strict action will be taken against those bureaucrats,” CM added.
He also wondered how come several departments in the state have failed to utilise certificates to the Centre over utilisation of funds allotted through centrally sponsored schemes. In fact, not submitting the utilisation certificates means the departments can’t expect getting additional central grants.
