Consul's post in New York: “HRD ministry’s advisory cadre is eligible”

officers of the Advisory cadre of the ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) are “eligible under suitably modified criteria”. “However, they need not apply in response to this vacancy circular”, a recent DoPT circular said.
The post is budgeted from the HRD ministry. Only recently, the government circulated a vacancy circular of Washington DC-based post of Community Affairs (Development) for which too deputy secretary and director level officers have applied for.
The mandatory qualifications for the post of Consul (education) include possessing two years of experience in educational administration, at least two years at the Centre under the Central Staffing Scheme, clearance from vigilance angle, and at least “Very Good” service record if not “Outstanding” service record with a grading of 9 and above. The officer should not be over 54 years of age. The exposure to multilateral and international organizations is a desirable qualification.
The last date of application is December 9, 2012.
