Glamour Cushion: Former Miss India Neha Dhupia wanted to be an IAS

IF YOU are an Indian officer, particularly an IAS, you have a reason to watch the next Neha Dhupia starrer movie! Bollywood actress and winner of Femina Miss India 2002 Neha Dhupia said recently in a function that she did not wish to be a model, but wanted to become an IAS officer instead. 29 years old model and actress who acted in Chup Chup Ke, Mithya and Singh Is King among others, said her participation in Miss India changed track of her career, said media reports.
A product of Army Public School and Jesus and Mary college of Delhi, Neha has now launched a campaign of women against violence in suburban Mumbai.
So, who says IAS has lost its sheen?

CBI frames charges against 1985 batch IAS Sanjiv Kumar
A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court framed corruption charges against suspended Sanjiv Kumar, a 1985 batch Haryana cadre IAS, and three others. The case was over 10 years ago, when Mr Kumar was the state project director in the Haryana Prathmik Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad (HPSPP) in 1998-1999. He caused a loss of around Rs 2.5 crore to the state exchequer, according to reports. An MA in economics, Mr Kumar has been under suspension from December, 2001.

DoPT directs hospitals to expedite medical tests for bureaucrats
The department of personnel and training (DoPT) has directed 21 hospitals of Delhi and NCR to complete the annual health check-up of IAS officers under the All India Services (PAR) Rule, 2007, in a single day, and without any inconvenience. Also, it was directed that the medical reports should be made available in the next day of the test done.

9 IAS officers transferred in UP
The Uttar Pradesh government transferred nine IAS officers, including the district magistrates of Lucknow, Kanpur and Muzaffarnagar recently. Some of the postings are:
a) Lucknow DM Amit Kumar Ghosh has become new divisional commissioner, Kanpur, b) Kanpur DM Anil Kumar Sagar will become new Lucknow DM
c) Muzaffarnagar DM Amrit Abhijat is becoming new DM of Kanpur Nagar
d) SK Yadav, additional Commissioner, NCR, Ghaziabad, will be DM of Muzaffarnagar.

  2. Babu Blogger ,IAS is very much glamourous for every Indian, but a very little wants to be so glamourous. Inspite of doing right things some of the IAS (Bureaucrats)do some mistakes and make themself glamourous.
