Govt engineers major reshuffle of officers at the rank of additional secretary; Delhi Chief Secy Anshu Prakash brought to DoT; Full List


THE central government on Saturday made a major bureaucratic reshuffle of the officers working in the rank of additional secretaries, apart from prematurely repatriating Member Secretary of the NCR Planning Board and 1983 batch Jharkhand cadre IAS —Bijay Kumar Tripathi to his parent cadre. Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash who was allegedly assaulted in CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence in February this year leading to massive protests by IAS officers, was transferred as additional secretary in the department of telecommunications (DoT). Here below are the key appointments: 

1. Jalaj Shrivastava, 1984 batch AGMUT cadre IAS  and additional secretary in the department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare, has been appointed as Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India under the ministry of shipping in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
2. Ms Meenakshi Gupta, 1984 batch Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer and additional secretary and financial advisor in the ministry of chemicals and fertilisers, has been appointed as Member Secretary in the National Commission for Women under the ministry of women and child development in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
3. Ms Amita Prasad, 1985 batch Karnataka cadre IAS and additional secretary in the ministry of statistics and programme implementation, has been appointed as Director General of National Productivity Council in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
4. Anshu Prakash, 1986 batch AGMUT cadre, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of telecommunications in place of N Sivasailam, 1985 batch Karnataka cadre IAS, who was appointed as special secretary (logistics) in the department of commerce.
5. Rakesh Kumar Vats, 1986 batch West Bengal cadre IAS and additional secretary in the department of health and family welfare, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial advisor in the ministry of health and family welfare. The earlier order dated May 2, 2018 appointing him as Chairperson, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), has been cancelled.
6. Dr Satbir Bedi, 1986 batch AGMUT cadre IAS and Member Secretary in the National Commission for Women, has been appointed as Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
7. Ms Vasudha Mishra, 1987 batch Telangana cadre IAS and additional secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances, has been appointed as additional secretary, in the department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare.
8. Ms Neel Kamal Darbari, 1987 batch Rajasthan cadre, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Managing Director, Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium under the department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
9. V Srinivas, 1989 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances.
10. Ms. Shubhra Singh, 1989 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Chairperson, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
11. In another development, the ACC has approved premature repatriation of Bijay Kumar Tripathi, 1983 batch Jharkhand cadre IAS and Member Secretary of the NCR Planning Board, to his cadre.
