IRS-IT officer Shefali Juneja’s tenure extended; tenure of 3 other officers including IPS Rashmi Ranjan Swain also extended


THE central deputation tenure of Ms Shefali Juneja, 1992 batch IRS-IT officer and joint secretary in the ministry of civil aviation, has been extended for a period of one year beyond October 8, 2018. The department of personnel and training (DoPT) on Monday issued a notification in this regard. Indian Forest Service (IFoS) respectively. Here are the details. First, the central deputation tenure of Vinod Kumar, a 1999 batch Indian Defence Accounts Service officer — presently serving as a director in the ministry of labour and employment — has been extended for a period of six months beyond September 22, 2018. 
Secondly, the tenure of 1991 batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IPS, Rashmi Ranjan Swain, who is now a joint secretary (personnel) in the ministry of external affairs (MEA), has been extended till November 26, 2018. 
Thirdly, 1998 batch Indian Forest Service officer, Franklin L Khobung's tenure as director of AYUSH, has been extended for three months beyond October 16, 2018. He is a Gujarat cadre IFoS officer, and has been in the central deputation since October 17, 2013. 
Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday approved the proposal to appoint 2009 batch Odisha cadre IAS, Prasanth Kumar Reddy, as the private secretary to Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu. Reddy is posted at the rank of a union deputy secretary.
