Four IPS officers of 1985 batch appointed as Special DG; Full List


THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday approved the proposal of the ministry of home affairs (MHA) to promote four senior IPS officers to the rank of Special Director General. The promoted officers are currently posted in NDRF, CRPF and BSF. Here below are the details:
1. Sanjay Kumar, 1985 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IPS officer, presently posted as DG, NDRF, has been promoted in-situ to the rank of Special DG (level 16 of pay matrix) in the same post, on personal upgradation basis, till his residual service i.e. upto December 31, 2018.
2. Arun Kumar, 1985 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IPS officer, presently working as ADG in BSF, has been elevated to the rank of Special DG (level 16 of pay matrix) in BSF.
3. Rajesh Pratap Singh, 1985 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IPS, presently working as ADG in CRPF, has been promoted to the rank of Special DG (level 16 of pay matrix) in CRPF. 
4. Prabhat Singh, 1985 batch AGMUT cadre IPS, presently working as ADG in BSF, has been elevated to the rank of Special DG (level 16 of pay matrix) in CRPF. 
Meanwhile, the central deputation tenure of PK Dash, a 1990 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, presently serving as a director in the department of food and public distribution, has been extended for three months beyond August 6, 2018. Also, Shailesh Shrivastava, 1992 batch Indian Trade Service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of justice. 
In another development, PS Lingeswara Swami, 2006 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of coal.
