Debjani Chakrabarti’s appointment in CVC cancelled; she will now be ED in Rural Electrification Corporation


THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) last week first cancelled 2002 batch Odisha cadre IAS Debjani Chakrabarti’s appointment as director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on a lateral shift basis, and then appointed her as the executive director in Rural Electrification Corporation (REC). February 2013, first as deputy secretary in the department of revenue before moving to the ministry of urban development and then to the ministry of road transport and highways. Earlier in the cadre, she was the district magistrate in Kendujhar and Jharsuguda districts of Odisha. 
In another development, the ACC also appointed Anil Kumar Gulati, 1984 batch IRPS officer as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the central agency section in the department of legal affairs, on re-employment (contract) basis, for a period of one year with effect from April 1, 2018, or until further orders.
Meanwhile, the government last week appointed four senior Indian Audit and Accounts Service officers including Ms Anjali Anand Srivastava as Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Dy. CAG) in the rank and pay of GoI secretary.
Further, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet appointed M Anjaneyulu, a 1985 batch IDAS officer, as Member (Finance) in the Ordinance Factory Board (OFB), Kolkata.
