B Purushartha, IAS officer and PS to MoS Housing Hardeep Puri, prematurely repatriated

In another appointment order, Ms Smita Srivastava, 1997 batch Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers, has been appointed as director in the department of higher education, Delhi. UP Singh, 1985 batch Odisha cadre IAS and secretary in the ministry of water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation, meanwhile, has been given additional charge of the post of secretary in the ministry of labour and employment with immediate effect, and until further orders. 
Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has also approved the appointment of Prof. Balram Bhargava, professor/senior consultant cardiologist, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, as DG, ICMR-cum-Secretary, department of health research for a period of three years or until he turns 60 years. Dr Renu Swaroop, Scientist H/Senior, has been appointed as adviser, department of biotechnology for a period of two years or until she attains 60 years. Yogender Singh, 2004 batch IRS (Customs and Central Excise) officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs. 
Also, Roop Kishor, 2004 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of electronics and information technology. Meanwhile, Sanket S Bhondve, 2007 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of road transport and highways.
