Secretary Reshuffle: Preeti Sudan appointed new health secretary, Ajay Narayan Jha in expenditure, Injeti Srinivas corporate affairs

THE government on Wednesday made a major administrative reshuffle by appointing new secretaries in the department of expenditure, and in ministries such as health and environment. The orders also included debarring of an 1980 batch IRSEE officer for appointment to any post in the Central Staffing Scheme. Here below are the appointment details:

1. Ajay Narayan Jha, 1982 batch Manipur IAS and secretary in the ministry of environment, forests and climate change, has been appointed as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the department of expenditure with immediate effect. The officer will assume charge of the post of secretary, department of expenditure on superannuation of Ashok Lavasa, 1980 batch Haryana cadre IAS. 
2. CK Mishra, 1983 batch Bihar batch IAS and secretary in the ministry of health and family welfare, has been appointed as secretary in the ministry of environment, forests and climate change in the vacancy caused due to appointment of Ajay Narayan Jha as OSD, in the department of expenditure.
3. Injeti Srinivas, 1983 batch Odisha cadre IAS and secretary in the department of sports and DG, SAI, has been appointed as secretary, ministry of corporate affairs.
4. Gopal Krishna, 1983 batch West Bengal cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary in the ministry of shipping.
5. Rabul Prasad Bhatnagar, 1983 batch UP cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary in the department of sports and DG, SAI.
6. Ms Preeti Sudan, 1983 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS and secretary in the department of food and public distribution, has been appointed as secretary in the ministry of health and family welfare.
7. Ravi Kant, 1984 batch Bihar cadre IAS and secretary in the ministry of shipping, has been appointed as secretary in the department of food and public distribution.
8. Alok Shrivastava, 1984 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS, and special secretary in the ministry of shipping, has been appointed as secretary in the department of justice.
9. KV Eapen, 1984 batch Assam cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances and pensions and pensioners' welfare.
10. Ms Shakuntala Gamlin, 1984 batch IAS AGMUT cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary in the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities (DIVYANGJAN).
11. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, special secretary, AYUSH, has been appointed as secretary, ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) on contract basis for the remainder period of three years, reckoned from the date of his assumption of charge i.e. June 29, 2017 as Special Secretary, AYUSH.
12. Ms Amita Prasad, 1985 batch Karnataka cadre IAS and additional secretary in the ministry of environment, forests and climate change, has been appointed as additional secretary, ministry of statistics and programme implementation. The earlier order appointing VK Yadav, 1980 batch IRSEE officer against this post stands cancelled and the officer is debarred for appointment to any post in the Central Staffing Scheme.
13. Ram Mohan Mishra, 1987 batch Assam cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as additional secretary and development commissioner in the ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises.
