All government wings need to work in harmony: PM to a group of addl secretaries, JS; 10 things that PM said

ALL wings of the government must work in harmony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while interacting with 70 additional secretaries and joint secretaries in New Delhi on Wednesday, emphasizing how the officers need to take a lead to break the silos in the government. This was the first of the five such interactions being planned with senior bureaucracy in the government. Here are 10 things PM emphasized:

1. The combination of development and good governance is essential for the welfare and satisfaction of citizens. Good governance should be a priority for the officers.
2. All wings of the government need to work in harmony, and in synchronisation, to achieve the best possible results.
3. All officers must keep the poor and the ordinary citizens in their minds while taking decisions.
4. The world is looking to India with positive expectations. The entire world feels that a successful India is vital for a global balance.
5. There is also a strong undercurrent for excellence from the common citizens of India. Youth from humble backgrounds, with very limited resources are achieving best positions in competitive exams and sports.
6. The officers need to work to promote that spontaneous upsurge of talent, recalling the spirit and energy that they themselves would have possessed in the first three years of their service.
7. This is a unique opportunity for officers to deliver their utmost for the benefit of the nation.
8. There is a need for speed and efficiency in decision making.
9. The honest decision making with good intention would always be encouraged by the Union government.
10. The officers need to focus attention on the 100 most backward districts of India.

1 comment:

  1. Honest citizens should be encouraged to come forward to form NGOs for social service. In each district there must be atleast one ngo to serve one sector like health, education, legal awareness, sanitation, employment etc etc.
Administrator should try to find out such honest and willing people to join these NGOs. If ngos work honestly in synchronization with admin, these can do wonders. Admin alone can not be capable to fight too many problems at the same time
