More about appointment of 3 IFS, 2 IAS and 4 IPS officers

IN THE last couple of days, the government has appointed three IFS, two IAS and four IPS officers, some of the highlights being IFS officer Ruchi Ghanashyam’s appointment as secretary (west) and 1987 batch UT cadre IAS Mohammad Taj Hassan being named as Deputy Director General in Nacrotics Control Bureau. Here are the details:

IFS
1. Ruchi Ghanashyam, a 1982 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, has been appointed as secretary (west) in place of Sujata Mehta.
2. Amarendra Khatua, 1981 batch Indian Foreign Service and Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), has been appointed as secretary (special assignment) in the ministry of external affairs (MEA) till the date of the superannuation i.e. May 31, 2017.
3. The government has re-designated the post of OSD held by Dnyaneshwar M Mulay, a 1983 batch IFS, as secretary (consular, passport, visa and overseas Indian affairs) in the ministry of external affairs till his superannuation i.e. November 30, 2018.

IAS 
1. G Jayalakshmi, 1995 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS, has been appointed as director general at National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), on deputation basis, for a period of five years.
2. Veena Kumari Meena, a 1993 batch UP cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) under the department of food and public distribution for a combined period of seven years of Central deputation tenure up to March 18, 2019 in place of Ranvir Singh, 1985 batch Jharkhand cadre Indian Forest Service officer.

IPS
1. Mohammad Taj Hassan, 1987 batch UT cadre IPS, has been appointed to the post of Deputy Director General in Nacrotics Control Bureau on a deputation basis for a period of five years. 
2. DR Doley Barman, a 1986 batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IPS, has been appointed as Director (ADG level), Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad in place of Karuna M Bahuguna, a 1979 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IPS by temporarily down-grading the post to ADG level for a period of two years.
3. PVK Reddy, a 1982 batch Manipur-Tripura cadre IPS and DG NHRC (Investigation), has been granted the apex pay scale of Rs 2,25000 - level 17 of pay matrix.
4. Alok Ranjan, a 1991 batch MP cadre IPS, has been appointed as CVO in BHEL under the department of heavy industries.
