THE government on Wednesday prematurely repatriated 2000 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS and director in the cabinet secretariat Manju Rajpal to her parent cadre on “personal ground”. The repatriation will be with effect from March 10, 2017. Meanwhile, the government appointed five new directors across ministries, and all are non-IAS officers belonging to Group “A” services. Here below are the details of each one them:
a) Rohit Bhardwaj, a 1988 batch Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer, has been appointed as director, NATGRID under the ministry of home affairs.
b) Sudhir Kumar Rai, a 1996 batch Indian Telecom Service (ITS) officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of home affairs.
c) Rajeev Kumar, a 2000 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IFOS) officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of home affairs (MHA).
d) Amit Mehrotra, a 1993 batch IRSEE officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of power.
e) Neeraj Mehrotra, a 1990 batch IDSE, has been appointed as director in the department of telecommunications.
Also, Anil Kumar Goyal, a 1981 batch Kerala cadre IFoS who is now additional secretary in the ministry of Panchayati Raj, has been elevated as special secretary till he retires on January 31, 2017, a measure that will give him more post-retirement benefits, as special secretary’s pay is higher than that of an additional secretary.
Further,  Dr Pingale Vijay Maruti, a 2004 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS, has been appointed as private secretary to the minister for railways Suresh Prabhu in the ministry of railways at the level of deputy secretary for a period of five years.
