fictitious character of a book titled “My Derailments With Truth” written by Ateesh Singh, an Indian civil servant presently serving as a director in the department of financial services under the ministry of finance, Government of India. He was holding this post since May 2012.
Singh, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 1994 batch handling various posts in Northern Railway, has a flair for writing. He earlier served as a senior divisional operational manager of Delhi and Ambala divisions in Northern Railways.
Born in a family of civil servants — his father was also a civil servant— Singh was brought up in the hills of Shimla. A product of Delhi Public School, RK Puram, he later did his graduation in economics from the University of Delhi.
Singh now lives in New Delhi along with his wife Anita and two children — Aaira and Arhaan. His family remains incomplete if two of his dogs — Misha and Macy are not counted.The book — “My Derailments With Truth” is a journey of Ravina in the pursuit of excellence in public services. As the description of the book says, Ravina lives out a ‘Karma precedes Kismet’ construct.The book costs Rs 300.
