Short-term training courses planned for IAS, IPS at Art of Living Foundation, Isha Yoga Centre et al

BENGALURU's Art of Living Foundation and Coimbatore-based Isha (Foundation) Yoga Centre are among the institutes where All India Services officers — IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service — are being imparted short-term training this year, according to 2016-17 DoPT calendar. Those one-week-long training programmes are meant for officers with at least four years of experience in the service, and up to the rank of union secretary. Whereas the training on “Building Competencies for Personal Excellence in Public Governance” will be held in Art of Living Foundation between November 7 and 11 this year, Isha (Foundation) Yoga Centre will house the programme on…
inner engineering leadership during January 23-27, 2017. Headed by spiritual guru Sri Sri, the Art of Living is a non-governmental organization and according to its website, is involved in humanitarian projects with “a special focus on stress elimination”.
Isha (Foundation) Yoga Centre on the other hand offers all the four major paths of yoga —  gnana (knowledge), karma (action), kriya (energy) and bhakthi (devotion). 
The other institutes such as New Delhi-based National Institute of Public Finance and Policy(NIPFP), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Manesar, Haryana will also offer training to All India Services officers this year. Here is the list of 20 such programmes, the names of the institutes whether the training programmes are organised and the dates:

3. Investigating economic crimes in financial markets at National Institute of Security Markets (NISM), Mumbai; 3rd- 7th October, 2016.
4. Competition law and market regulation at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Manesar, Haryana; 24th – 28th October, 2016.
5. Building competencies for personal excellence in public governance at The Art of Living Foundation, Bengaluru; 7th -11th November, 2016.
6. Smart Cities at Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO), New Delhi 7th-11th November, 2016.
7. Social Policy and Governance at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai; 21st – 25th November, 2016.
8. Sustainable development goals: Mainstreaming into the national development framework at The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), New Delhi, 28th November – 2nd December, 2016.
