Want be a consultant in MEA? Suitable candidates wanted as international relations experts

DO YOU want to work in the ministry of external affairs (MEA) along with the career diplomats? The MEA has issued advertisements to hire consultants to be employed on contract basis. policy planning and research division of MEA. The selected candidates are expected to work in MEA premises like South Block, Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan, Patiala House, ISIL Building etc.—all located in heart of New Delhi. But depending on the precise nature of duties assigned to the consultant from time to time, he or she “may be asked to work from their own premises and submit periodic reports to the ministry”, according to the advertisement issued by the administrative division of the MEA on June 29, 2015.
The appointment of the consultant will initially be for three years which may be extended. But the government can terminate the contract “immediately” by paying one month’s salary in lieu of notice period.
The applicants must have an MPhil degree in international relations from a recognized university in India or abroad. But extra credit will be given for a doctoral qualification, and for experience of work in a reputed university, publication, think-tank or research organization in the area of foreign policy or international affairs.
And what will be the remuneration for a selected candidate? According to the advertisement, the consultant will be paid an “all-inclusive mutually agreed upon monthly remuneration”, depending on qualifications, past experience, and his or her performance in the interview.
The employment will be strictly contractual.
But when the consultant needs to travel domestically or abroad as part of duties, the ministry will take care of the travel, accommodation and per diem costs, “on par with Group-A officers of the Ministry”.
Last date of application is July 15, 2015.
