Dance Corridor Dance: Babus to compete for inter-ministry dance, music titles

inter-ministry music, dance and short play competition, according to a circular issued by the Board from Lok Nayak Bhavan on December 26, 2013. The welfare officer of each ministry will send their entries in a prescribed form latest by February 7, 2014. The entry fee is Rs 50 per event in solo music or dance, and Rs 200 for short play.
In true sarkari style, the circular said: “Participants being government employees are subjected to the provisions of Conduct Rules. Any violation of these provisions would invite disciplinary proceedings.”
There will be competition on classical dance, folk dance and western dance. The categories of classical dance events include Kathak, Mohiniattam, Bharatnatyam, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Odissi and Kathakali. Each participant will be given 10 minutes to perform. 
The competition will lead to the selection of the artistes for All India Civil Services Music and Dance and Short Play competition.
