Two more vacant posts in Europe for IAS, Group “A” officers to grab

DAYS after 1988 batch IAS officer Ms Renu Sharma was appointed as Deputy Chief of Mission at Indian embassy in Brussels, the government has advertized two more vacant posts in Europe meant for IAS and other Group "A" services officers. One is the post of Counsellor in Permanent Mission of India at World Trade Organization (WTO) located in Geneva. And the other…
is the post of Adviser (Agriculture and Marine Products), in Embassy of India, Brussels. Here are the details for both the posts:

Counsellor, Permanent Mission of India, WTO
To be located in Geneva, the posting is for a period of three years.
Mandatory Qualifications:
a) The officer at the rank of a deputy secretary or director in Government of India, must have worked for at least 2 years at the Centre under the Central Staffing Scheme.
b) The officer should have experience in trade, commerce, industry and allied sectors either at the Centre or in the state government/cadre.
c) The officer should be clear from vigilance angle.
d) The officer should not have been debarred from Central deputation.
e) The officer should have at least "Very Good" Service record. However, preference will be given to officers who have “Outstanding” service record with a grading of 9 and above.
f) The officer should not be over 54 years of age.
g) The officer should not have been posted on an assignment in a foreign/captive post of government of India, earlier.
h) The officer should not have been nominated for foreign training or should not be on training or foreign assignment, currently.
The desirable qualifications include exposure to international negotiations in trade, commerce, industry and allied sectors.

Adviser (Agriculture and Marine Products), Embassy of India, Brussels
The tenure for the selected officer will be for three years.
Mandatory Qualifications
a) The officer must have worked for at least 2 years at the Centre under the Central Staffing Scheme.
b) The officer should have experience in agriculture and allied sectors either at the Centre or in the state government/cadre
c) The officer should be clear from vigilance angle.
d) The officer should not have been debarred from Central deputation.
e) The officer should have at least “Very Good” service record. However, preference will be given to officers who have “Outstanding” service record with a grading of 9 and above.
f) The officer should not be over 54 years of age.
g) The officer should not have been posted on an assignment in a foreign/captive post of Government of India, earlier.
h) The officer should not have been nominated for foreign training or should not be on training or foreign assignment, currently.
i) The officer should not be on study leave or long leave.
The desirable qualifications include experience in international trade and export promotion.
