PMO Reshuffle: Nandini Paliwal shifted out to LBSNAA, Assam cadre officer Kavitha Padmanabhan to move to South Block


IN A minor bureaucratic reshuffle in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Nandini Paliwal, 2003 batch AGMUT cadre IAS, has been laterally shifted to Lal Bahadur Shashtri National Academy for Administration (LBSNAA) whereas Kavitha Padmanabhan, 2006 batch Assam cadre IAS presently working as deputy secretary in the DoPT, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the PMO. Uttar Pradesh. She did her MBA from Aligarh Muslim University before getting into IAS. She was in the PMO since May 2016. Earlier, she worked as director in Delhi Jal Board. Paliwal will join LBSNAA as its deputy director.
Kavitha Padmanabhan, who will be joining as deputy secretary in the PMO, originally belongs to Puducherry. This 38-year-old officer is from Assam cadre and is well versed with four languages — Tamil, English, Hindi and Assamese, according to DoPT records. She did B.Tech in electronics from Puducherry University. In the state, she served as additional deputy commissioner in Kamrup and Tinsukia districts. She has been with the DoPT since January 2016. 
Meanwhile, in another development, Ravindra Pratap Singh, 2007 batch Odisha cadre IAS, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of women and child development. 
Also, Vishwajeet Kumar, 2002 batch Indian Statistical Service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of higher education.
