IN A major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Centre on Monday appointed 30 officers at the rank of union secretary and additional secretary. Whereas Sanjeev Ranjan, 1985 batch Tripura cadre IAS, will be the new chairman of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), UP cadre IAS Anita Bhatnagar Jain is the secretary in the Central Information Commission. Here below is the list of 30 new officers:
1. Sanjay Agarawal, 1984 batch UP cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary in the department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare on superannuation of SK Pattanayak on September 30.
2. Pritam Singh, 1984 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS and Director General of National Archives of India, has been appointed as secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Castes in the rank and pay of secretary.
3. Sanjeev Ranjan, 1985 batch Tripura cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the rank and pay of secretary.
4. Rajeev Ranjan, 1985 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as special secretary, GST Council Secretariat under the department of revenue.
5. Ms Sudha Krishnan, 1983 batch Indian Audit and Accounts Service officer, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Member Finance, Space Commission. The officer would also hold additional charge of Member Finance, Earth Commission and Atomic Energy Commission (with headquarters at New Delhi).
6. Ms. Anita Bhatnagar Jain, 1985 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary in the Central Information Commission in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
7. Tarun Kapoor, 1987 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as vice chairman, Delhi Development Authority on superannuation of Udai Pratap Singh, on September 30, 2018.
8. Sudhanshu Panday, 1987 batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of commerce, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of commerce.
9. Gyanesh Kumar, 1988 batch Kerala cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of home affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of home affairs.
10. Dr Dharmendra Singh Gangwar, 1988 batch Bihar cadre IAS and additional secretary in the ministry of food processing industries, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial advisor, ministry of culture.
11. Jatindra Nath Swain, 1988 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS and Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited, has been appointed as Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
12. Ms Alka Tiwari, 1988 batch Jharkhand cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of fertilizers, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of fertilizers by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of director in department of pharmaceuticals. Earlier order dated June 30, 2018 appointing her as secretary, CVC, stands cancelled.
13. Rakesh Sarwal, 1988 batch Tripura cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of food processing industries. Earlier order dated May 2, 2018, appointing him as additional secretary in the department of health and family welfare, stands cancelled.
14. Devesh Chaturvedi, 1989 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare, has been appointed as additional secretary, department of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare.
15. K Rajaraman, 1989 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of economic affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of economic affairs.
16. Lok Ranjan, 1989 batch Tripura cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of personnel and training (DoPT), has been appointed as additional secretary in the DoPT.
17. Ms. Anita Praveen, 1989 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of commerce, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial advisor in the department of posts.
18. Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi, 1989 batch Bihar cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as additional secretary in the DoPT.
19. Shiv Das Meena, 1989 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs.
20. Govind Mohan, 1989 batch Sikkim cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of home affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of home affairs.
21. Dharmendra, 1989 batch UT cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial advisor in the ministry of consumer affairs, food and public distribution.
22. Sameer Kumar Khare, 1989 batch Assam cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of economic affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of economic affairs, by temporarily upgrading the post.
23. Rajesh Aggarwal, 1989 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS and Director General (Training), ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, has been appointed as Director General (Training), ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship in the rank and pay of additional secretary. The officer would also hold additional charge of Director General, NIESBUD.
24. Rajesh Kumar Singh, 1989 batch Kerala cadre IAS and Chief Vigilance Officer of Food Corporation of India, has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer, Food Corporation of India in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
25. K Srinivas, 1989 batch Gujarat cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of personnel and training (DoPT), has been appointed as additional secretary in the DoPT.
26. Edwin Kulbhushan Majhi, 1989 batch Kerala cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of food and public distribution, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of food and public distribution.
27. Sunil Barthwal, 1989 batch Bihar cadre IAS and Central Provident Fund Commissioner, has been appointed as Central Provident Fund Commissioner in the rank and pay of additional secretary.
28. Rajeev Ranjan, 1989 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of expenditure, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of expenditure.
29. Arun Kumar, 1989 batch Haryana cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of civil aviation, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of civil aviation.
