10 new GoI directors appointed; 3 officers from Indian Ordnance Factory Service find berths; Full List


THE government on Wednesday either appointed or laterally transferred 10 officers as GoI directors or deputy secretaries, three of whom belonging to Indian Ordnance Factory Service only. Here is the full list of 10 officers and their new ministries/departments:
1. Manoj Kumar Gupta, 2004 batch Indian Statistical Service officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of labour and employment. 
2. Binay Kumar Jha, 1998 batch Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers, has been appointed as director in the ministry of housing and urban development.
3. Virendra Sharma, 1991 batch Central Water Engineering Service service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of rural development.
4. Kousik Chakraborty, 2006 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, has been appointed as deputy jute commissioner (deputy secretary level) in the office of Jute Commissioner, Kolkata. 
5. Ajay Kumar, 2002 batch Central Water Engineering Service officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of drinking water and sanitation. 
6. Naval Kishor, 2003 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of revenue.
7. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, 1987 batch Indian Defence Service of Engineers officer, has been appointed as director in the department of economic affairs (DEA).
8. Manish Kumar Jha, 2008 batch Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the department of economic affairs (DEA). 
9. Suneet Mehta, 2007 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs.
10. Anil Ranga, 1998 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer, has been laterally shifted from the department of economic affairs to department of health and family welfare, as director.
