Know Your IAS: Dr Rohit Yadav of Chhattisgarh cadre is PS to civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu

the state of Uttar Pradesh, and was allotted the Chhattisgarh cadre once selected as IAS. Till recently, he was secretary to Chhattisgarh’s urban development department. The officer also served as Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation, according to the information available in the DoPT site. He also served as collector, first of Surguja district and then of Raipur district. Yadav also served as joint secretary to the Chief Minister Raman Singh between 2012 and 2014. 
His wife, Ritu Sain — a 2003 batch IAS — was already posted in New Delhi as additional resident commissioner of Chhattisgarh Bhawan, a director-level post. 
Meanwhile, in an unrelated news, yet another Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer was on Friday appointed in a central ministry. Sanjay Krishna Navhale, 2007 batch IOFS officer, was appointed as deputy secretary in the department of chemicals and petrochemicals. He was appointed for a period of four years. BoI on Friday had reported how a number of IOFS officers — Santosh Kumar Singh, Provash Ranjan Biswas and Kalu Ram Meena — were appointed in various GoI departments or ministries as directors. 
In another development, 2007 batch Kerala cadre IAS Prasanth N has been appointed as deputy secretary in the ministry of new and renewable energy. He is appointed for a period of four years.
