Govt gives nod to Anuj Gupta's appointment as railway minister’s OSD; forest officer Ms. TJ Kavitha shifted as PS to MoS, Skill Dev

Meanwhile Anuj Gupta, a long-term associate of railway minister Piyush Goyal, was on Friday formally appointed as officer on special duty (OSD) to Goyal in the railway ministry. His appointment is coterminous with the tenure of the minister, and is on a contract basis. He will get the rank and pay of a GoI director. 
A former consultant with KPMG specialising in financial services, private equity, consumer markets and infrastructure, Gupta is a product of IIT-Madras and IIM-Bangalore. He left the corporate world to become a full-time BJP volunteer in 2013 and focused on content creation, communications, data analytics and on-the-ground campaign management.
Meanwhile, the central deputation tenure of Ms Nivedita, 2002 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service officer and director of tribal affairs ministry, was extended for three months. 
In another development late last week, Raj Kumar, 1997 batch Indian Telecom Service officer and director in NITI Aayog, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
