MEA Integrity Pacts with Vendors: Selection process of independent monitors extended

the prospective bidders or sellers for all procurements and projects of value of Rs 50 crore and above. The MEA decided to adopt such a mechanism from January 1, 2013 in all its offices including subordinate offices and autonomous bodies such as Foreign Service Institute, Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Indian Council for World Affairs. The appointment of the external monitors will be in consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
And who can apply for these two posts?
a) Civil servants having served at top management positions to Government of India or equivalent positions in state government.
b) Retired Judges of Supreme Court or High Court
c) Ex-chairman or CMD and equivalent of Schedule 'A' and Schedule 'B' public sector enterprises.
d) Eminent persons/executives of private sectors of considerable eminence.
The applicants should not be above the age of 65 years.
The applications need to be submitted to the office of Joint Secretary (CNV) and Chief Vigilance Officer, Ministry of External Affairs, Room No: 163-B, South Block, New Delhi.
