More incentives to Central government employees posted in Kashmir Valley

Santa is here!
IN THIS season of showing an extra care to Sarkari employees ahead of crucial Lok Sabha polls, the government on Monday issued a revised package of incentives for Central government employees including those of PSUs working in Kashmir Valley. The benefit of additional HRA will be admissible to all Central government employees posted to Kashmir Valley irrespective of whether they are natives of Kashmir Valley of not, if they choose to…
move their families anywhere in India, according to an office memorandum (OM) dated February 17, 2014. The officers posted in 10 districts of Jammu and Kashmir will be benefited out of this package. These districts are Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Srinagar, Kulgam, Shopian, Ganderbal and Bandipora, and they form what’s called Kashmir Valley.
The employees will have an option to move their families to a selected place of their choice in India at the expense of the government. There will be departmental arrangements for stay, security and transportation to the place of work for employees. The period of temporary duty is extended to six months, and for that period, daily allowance at full rate is admissible, apart from departmental arrangements for stay, security and transportation, the OM said.
The employees posted to Kashmir Valley who do not wish to move their families to a selected place of residence, will be entitled to get a per diem allowance in additional to normal transport allowance.
“The facilities of Messing Allowance and Per Diem Allowance shall also be allowed to natives of Kashmir Valley in terms of the Kashmir Valley package,” the OM said.
