Justice Verma, Justice Chauhan appointed as SC Judges Justice Deepak Verma, Chief Justice, Rajasthan High Court and Dr. Justice Balbir Singh Chauhan, Chief Justice, Orissa High Court, have been appointed as Judges of the Supreme Court of India. Admiral SM Nanda passes away Admiral S M Nanda passed away on Monday, May 11, after a prolonged illness. The Chief of the Naval Staff has conveyed his deepest condolences at his demise. Mr Nanda will always be remembered for his leadership of the Indian Navy during the Indo-Pak Conflict of 1971, in which the Indian Navy carved its name for its sterling offensive actions.
