THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Friday gave its nod to the appointment of 35 new additional secretaries or additional secretary-equivalent. Whereas 1987 batch IAS Pradip Kumar Tripathi was promoted as additional secretary in DoPT, 1985 batch IAS Usha Sharma was made the new director general of Archaeological Survey of India. Also, Ms Ravneet Kaur, 1988 batch Punjab cadre IAS, will now be the new CMD of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
