177 officers selected for studying short-term courses in elite foreign universities under DFFT; Full List

AS MANY as 177 officers of various services including IAS, IPS, IRS-IT et al have been selected for short-term courses in foreign universities under Domestic Funding for Foreign Training (DFFT) programme. Here below is the list of officers selected for short-term courses in Harvard, Chicago, Berkeley, Cambridge and ANZSOG for FY 2019-20:

THE CENTRAL government has announced the names of the universities, courses and the dates for which the officers will be sponsored under the Domestic Funding of Foreign Training (DFFT) Scheme. The upper age limit for short-term programmes is 52 years as on July 1, 2019, but there is no age limit for the short-term programmes at Harvard University, University of Chicago, Cambridge University, University of California Berkeley and ANZSOG for officers of joint secretary/additional secretary/secretary level (equivalent to postings in GOI),  a DoPT order said.

The officers will attend courses — management, leadership, PPP etc. -- in the premier universities like Harvard, Cambridge, Berkeley, Chicago and ANZSOG. THE Central government on Tuesday released the names of 31 officers selected for long term programmes under DFFT scheme for 2018-19. The courses include MA in international development policy, University of Duke, MA in South Asia and Global Security, King’s College London (KCL), masters in public management, Lee Kuan Yew (LKY), Singapore, MSc in public policy and administration, London School of Economics, executive master of public administration (EMPA), Syracuse University, New Zealand et al. THE list of foreign universities and the short and long term courses, 2018-19, for the government officers under the DFFT scheme is out. Those who are eligible for the Domestic Funding of Foreign Training (DFFT) scheme include IAS, Group ‘A’ officers belonging to Central Secretariat Service (CSS) etc., and then the IPS, Indian Forest Service (IFoS) and Group ‘A’ central civil service officers during the tenure of deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme.
