Viral Video: MLA screams at UP officer Garima Singh; “Threatening young IAS officers is not acceptable”, retorts IAS Association


THE IAS Association in a social media post on Tuesday said, threatening young IAS officers working in the field is not acceptable, after a video purportedly showing BJP MLA Uday Bhan Singh threatening Agra's Kirawali sub-divisional magistrate, Garima Singh, went viral. In the video, MLA can be heard saying, “Aapko maloom nahi main vidhayak hun (Don’t you know I am an MLA)? Meri taakat ka ehsaas nahi hai (You don’t realise my power).” The IAS Association in a Tweet said:

1994 batch IAS Aparajita Sarangi quits IAS; likely to contest Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket

Aparajita Sarangi, a 1994 batch Odisha cadre IAS officer who took voluntary retirement early this month, is joining the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), thereby becoming the second IAS officer in the recent time to quit IAS and join the party that has been ruling the Central government. Only in August this year, 2005 batch Chhattisgarh cadre IAS, OP Choudhary, resigned from the elite service to join the BJP. Karnataka MLA uses foul language against a woman forest service officer; “No upright officer will take such nonsense lying down”, she replies

This is what an MLA from Karnataka Satish Reddy allegedly told deputy conservator of forests and 2010 batch Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer Deepika Bajpai.
