Govt approves appointment of 35 new additional secretaries; Full List

THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Friday gave its nod to the appointment of 35 new additional secretaries or additional secretary-equivalent.  Whereas 1987 batch IAS Pradip Kumar Tripathi was promoted as additional secretary in DoPT, 1985 batch IAS Usha Sharma was made the new director general of Archaeological Survey of India. Also, Ms Ravneet Kaur, 1988 batch Punjab cadre IAS, will now be the new CMD of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). Here’s the full list of 35 new additional secretary-ranked officers and their new postings:
1. Ashok MR Dalawai, 1984 batch Odisha cadre IAS, currently additional secretary in the ministry of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare, has been appointed as CEO of  National Rainfed Area Authority by upgrading the post to the level of secretary equivalent.
2. Anup Wadhawan, 1985 batch Uttarakhand cadre IAS and additional secretary in the department of commerce, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of commerce by operating the newly-created post of special secretary in the ministry at the level of additional secretary for two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
3. J Rama Krishna Rao, 1985 batch Bihar cadre IAS and additional secretary in the ministry of defence, has been appointed as secretary in the National Commission for Minorities in the rank and pay of additional secretary to Government of India.
4. Sanjiv Gupta, 1985 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS and additional secretary in the department of industrial policy and promotion, has been appointed as CEO, National E-Governance Division (NeGD) under the ministry of electronics and information technology, by temporarily upgrading the post to the level of additional secretary for a period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
5. Ms Usha Sharma, 1985 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS and additional secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances, has been appointed as director general in Archaeological Survey of India in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
6. Alok Vardhan Chaturvedi, 1986 batch Bihar cadre IAS and present additional secretary in the department of commerce, has been appointed as Director General Foreign Trade in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
7. Anil Kumar Jain, 1986 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and additional secretary in NITI Aayog, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of environment, forests and climate change in place of RR Rashmi, 1983 batch Manipur cadre IAS who has been repatriated to the parent cadre.
8. Nagendra Nath Sinha, 1987 batch Jharkhand cadre IAS who is presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Managing Director, National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
9. VP Joy, 1987 batch Kerala cadre IAS and Central Provident Fund Commissioner, has been given the rank and pay of additional secretary by restoring the post to the earlier level of additional secretary.
10. Sunil Kumar, 1987 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of commerce, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of commerce in place of Alok Vardhan Chaturvedi, 1986 batch Bihar cadre IAS on his appointment as Director General Foreign Trade.
11. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, 1987 batch Telangana cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs as additional secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs by operating the newly-created post of special secretary in the ministry at the level of additional secretary for two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
12. Pradip Kumar Tripathi, 1987 batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of personnel and training (DoPT), has been promoted as additional secretary in the same department, DoPT. 
13. Raj Kumar, 1987 batch Gujarat cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of economic affairs (DEA), has been appointed as Director General, Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
14. Barun Mitra, 1987 batch Maniour cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of shipping, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of defence in place of J Rama Krishna Rao, 1985 batch Bihar cadre IAS on his appointment as secretary in the National Commission for Minorities.
15. Praveen Kumar, 1987 batch Tamil Nadu cadre lAS and joint secretary in the ministry of human resource development (HRD), has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of new and renewable energy.
16. Manoj Jhalani, 1987 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of health and family welfare, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of health and family welfare.
17. Ms Vasudha Mishra, 1987 batch Telangana cadre IAS and Managing Director of NCDCI, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances.
18. Lalit Kumar Gupta, 1987 batch Tripura cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of youth affairs and sports, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of social justice and empowerment.
19. Ms Leena Nandan, 1987 batch UP cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of road transport and highways, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial adviser in the ministry of road transport and highways.
20. Jiwesh Nandan, 1987 batch UP cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of defence, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of defence.
21. Pravir Krishna, 1987 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of shipping, has been appointed as Managing Director of TRIFED in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
22. Rameshwar Prasad Gupta, 1987 batch Gujarat cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of coal, has been appointed as Managing Director,  NAWADCO in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
23. Pradeep Kumar, 1987 batch Kerala cadre IAS and joint secretary and financial adviser of the ministry of power, has been appointed as project director in National Disaster Management Authority in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
24. Sanjay Kumar Singh, 1987 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and administrator, Universal Services Obligation Fund, has been bestowed the rank and pay of additional secretary by temporarily upgrading the post to the level of additional secretary for a period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
25. Vijay Kumar Dev, 1987 batch AGMUT cadre IAS and deputy Election Commissioner, has been appointed as Director General, National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
26. Ajay Tirkey, 1987 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of human resource development, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of women and child development. 
27. Rajiv Bansal, 1988 batch Nagaland cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of electronics and information technology, has been appointed as additional secretary and financial adviser in the ministry of petroleum and natural gas.
28. Ms Ravneet Kaur, 1988 batch Punjab cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of industrial policy and promotion, has been appointed as CMD of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
29. Ali Raza Rizvi, 1988 batch Himachal cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of commerce, has been appointed as CMD in the National Mineral Development Corporation under the ministry of steel in the rank and pay of additional secretary to the Government of India.
30. Ms Upma Srivastava, 1988 batch Sikkim cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of civil aviation, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of agriculture, cooperation and farmers welfare.
31. Arun Kumar Mehta, 1988 batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of environment, forests and climate change, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of environment, forests and climate change.
32. K Rajeshwar Rao, 1988 batch Tripura cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of health and family welfare, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of mines.
33. Manoj Kumar, 1988 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS and chief vigilance officer in the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of housing and urban affairs.
34. Shailendra Singh, 1988 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS and joint secretary in the department of industrial policy and promotion, has been appointed as additional secretary in the department of industrial policy and promotion.
35. SK Dev Verman, 1988 batch Manipur cadre IAS and joint secretary in the ministry of minority affairs, has been appointed as additional secretary in the ministry of minority affairs by temporarily upgrading the post held by him as a measure personal to the officer from the date of his assumption of charge of the post.
