THE government has curtailed the tenure of Anshu Sinha, 1999 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS and CEO of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) barely five months after she was brought into Mumbai to head the Commission. Two other officers whose current tenure is also curtailed are 1988 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS Manoj Kumar Singh and 1996 batch Indian Audit and Account Service officer Shanti Priya Sarela. Ms Sinha took charge of KVIC only on February 1 this year, and her tenure was up to January 29, 2019, according to her appointments order. Know Your Officer: New Khadi Commission CEO and 1999 batch IAS Ms Anshu Sinha
Ms Anshu Sinha, a 1999 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS, will be the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Mumbai-based Khadi and Village Industry Commission (KVIC), an organization that came into the news recently for replacing the photo of Mahatma Gandhi with that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in its annual calendar, which led into some protests inside and outside the Commission.
