“Ravana wore ten crowns. Why can’t you wear just one?”: Bengaluru Police goes creative in helmet advt

“Ravana wore ten crowns. Why can’t you wear just one?”, says an advertisement issued by Bengaluru Police. The advertisement is creative and newsy, a day before the Dusshera. Its hashtag says: Helmets Save Life. Bengaluru Police’s DCP Traffic East handle adds a comment with the post: “Stop finding reasons for not wearing a Helmet. Life is too precious to lose for silly reasons”. In fact, Bengaluru Police’s pinned tweet is more creative. It says:

Roses are red
Violets are blue,
Heard you're selling drugs,
We'll come visit you.
Meanwhile, officers across services have begun posting "Happy Dusshera" messages in Twitter and other social media forums. Kapil Meena, 2010 batch IAS and district magistrate of West Sikkim district, for example, posted this message: “Wishing all a very happy Dusshera and Dassain to Sikkimese people!!!”, giving a local flavour to the festival. Another IAS officer posted a Durga idol photo to say how “Mahishasur in his male ego asked a boon that no male should be able to kill him…On #Mahanavami male ego gets shattered”. It has two hashtags “RespectWomen” and “Navratri”.
Meanwhile in the corridors, new appointments kept pouring during this festive week as well.  Pritam Singh, 1984 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS and additional secretary in corporate affairs ministry, has been entrusted the additional charge of director, Serious Fraud Investigation Officer (SFIO) till November 2017. And 1991 batch Gujarat cadre Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer Jaipal Singh has been appointed as private secretary to Minister of State for mines Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary.
